Working for The other Maxim...

The Golden State Warriors.

The 2006-07 season for the Golden State Warriors was truly inspiring. It was the first time in over a decade the team has returned to the post season and to make things sweeter, they defeated a 1st seed team (The Dallas Mavericks) as an 8th seed. I wanted to show my support by drawing a sign with my signature touch. building it with Adobe Illustrator. I figure so many people were getting on TV with hand written signs, so I went all out andillustrated the Warriors for Glory...!

After the Warriors advanced to the second round of the playoffs, I had produced more signs each with a different theme for the occasion during the playoffs. Even though we didn't advance past the second round, the appreciation for my work paid off. Players like Monta Ellis and Stephen Jackson asked for my work. I was acknowledged by the staff and the fans around the Arena. It landed me a satisfying job at Golden State of Mind and most importantly, it brought smiles to everyones face.

My goal for the 07-08 season if not every season is to make a new sign for each game I go to. It's the type of dedication that helps me escape the real world and brings satisfaction to the work I do.
